Hi all i need to improve on gui designs. like i want to use glassy buttons using netbeans in java swing applications. is there any way or any plugins you can suggest. i need buttons like

in this picture i want to create buttons like the blue one!

Purely aesthetic answer: glossy buttons are so-o-o-o-o 2005! That look has come, and gone, out of style. If you want your interface to look modern and "with it" avoid glossy buttons, reflections, and other "Web 2.0" looks. In fact, avoid skeuomorphism in general.

Look to the interfaces of iOS7 and Android 4 for modern look and feel. (Yeah, I know you're not talking about a mobile app, but these platforms are currently the thought leaders when it comes to modern design.)

That said, I believe that you need to use images to achieve those looks (I don't write Swing, so someone will correct me if wrong). If you don't have mad Photoshop skills, you are likely to find lots of button generators on the web left over from the "Web 2.0" days of yore.

Take a look at the various Look and Feels you find around the web. The one's Jyloo (Synthetica) look kind of nice. A little googling will do the job
