I have just discovered that there is no Oracle-Java support for automatic updates of 64-bit versions of Java for Windows 64-bit operating systems. I researched this on the web and found that someone suggested creating an RSS feed from the Java SE News to find out when Java updates occur. I am having difficulty doing this. Has anyone figured out a way to be reminded of Java 64-bit updates? Thanks.

There's not a whole lot you need to do really. 1. Obtain an RSS Reader - there are many free ones that you can download and install. 2. Subscribe to the Java SE News RSS feed - choose one of the links under the "Feeds" section on the lower right-hand side of the Java SE News page.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
