Date method behavior

Hi ranchers,
I have below code,

Calendar result = Calendar.getInstance();
		SimpleDateFormat dt = new SimpleDateFormat("hh:mm");

		String cutOffTime = "12:30";
		Date date;
		if (cutOffTime != null) {
			try {
				Calendar configValueStore = Calendar.getInstance();
				configValueStore.setTime(new Date(2014, 2, 3, 10, 30));
				date = dt.parse(cutOffTime);
				configValueStore.setTime(date);
				result.set((Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY), configValueStore.get(Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY));
				result.set((Calendar.MINUTE), configValueStore.get(Calendar.MINUTE));
				// set some none zero value to avoid infinity loop while next business day searching
			} catch (ParseException exception) {
				// not valid configuration - use default
			}
		}
		Calendar calendarDateToCheck = Calendar.getInstance();

ouput is as below,

I am parsing 12:30 and adding that time with the current time, as I am giving a 12:30 then after appying this time with current date it should have time 12:30 but having time of midnight i.e. 00:30.
How can I avoid of parsing to a mid night time instead of noon time.

Got solution myself after going through javadoc for SimpleDateFormat

need to change hh to HH in SimpleDateFormat then it works.

SimpleDateFormat dt = new SimpleDateFormat("hh:mm");
