I am running Eclipse Kepler on RHEL 6 and Xming X-server on Windows 7. Whenever I highlight/select text in Eclipse, a copy operation is performed, causing anything in the clipboard to be lost.

I don't see anything in Eclipse that I can configure to change this behaviour. Could it be my X-server doing this?

It could be the x-server setting, look and see what if clipboard sharing is turned on.

I checked again and I do have the clipboard manager enabled. I am able to copy and paste between Windows and Linux, it just when I select a block of text in Eclipse (Linux side) to replace with a paste operation, the selection causes the block of text to be copied in to the clipboard.
