Hello all, I need help trying to get my image to show up on my compiled GUI.

Here is my GUI, I just need to know how to get the image to show, where do I save an image file so that it comes up in my GUI.

Image files to be distributed with the application are usually stored in a source folder of your project, typically in one of packages somehow related to the image (you might have a central location for all your application files, for example, or store images together with the GUI component -a form, typically- which uses it).

When the application is compiled into a JAR file, the images are stored inside the JAR (some IDEs may need to adjust the project's configuration to include image files in the build). You'll then load the image stored in the JAR file using the getResource method, as explained in this tutorial.
