Ok, while I am studying I'm getting depressed and lost of trust with myself to pass the exam. I was thinking to quit taking this certification.
Can you guys suggest or give me some tips how to familiarize those classes's methods, parameters to pass easily?

I can't seem to memorize all of it.. Most of the time I 'scramble' methods(including parameter types) of one class to the other.

How can I outline them easily so that I could not be confused with those methods and also variables :/

I've been programming Java for over a decade and I haven't memorized all the methods in the String class yet, let alone the methods of ArrayList. And to this day I have to check the documentation for String.substring() to avoid off-by-one errors. Is knowing all of those methods a declared goal of this certification?

Definitely not! I believe the Mala Gupta's book and also the K&B6 book cover a subset of these methods (less than 10 per class I believe). If you know those ones you'll be able to answer most (if not all) questions on these topics.

Absolutely no need to memorize all methods of all these classes. And there is no reason for losing trust in yourself because you can't memorize them. Do you use a study guide, like the K&B6 book or the Mala Gupta Study Guide? Just stick to the methods mentioned in these books and you'll be fine and gain your confidence back very quickly.
