Hello Friends,

Need your help in debugging one issue.

We are using WAS 7.0 version and have web services which call other system(PMP) in order to create candidate in their end. They call their web service and it takes 5 minute minimum to receive response from PMP system and after that it times out.

PMP system checks in their end ,they are processing the request with few seconds, but still we are getting response in 5 minutes.

Its giving read timed out error. Can you please help me to resolve this?

Thanks,
Annie

1. Please post the logs from the PMP server that show they are successfully processing your request.

2. When you use SoapUI to contact the PMP server, do you get a response within a few seconds ?

Some random queries that arises in my mind after reading your post

3. Any post processing / handlers in place for Web Service Response ?
4. Does Web service request reaches PMP server within few seconds OR does it takes time ?
5. Any proxy in between WAS and PMP Server ?
6. Does Web Service happens to contains any special character which probably JAXWS in WAS is not able to recognize ? Post a sample Request/Response here can be of help
7. Any HTTP Headers being used in Web Service Request ?
8. Just read on google, that PMP server uses to have PMP Agent which manages connection to remote resources. Is PMP agent setup correctly to send response back to WAS ?
