ya i know cmd but i dont understand " java -classpath c:\hsqldb\lib\hsqldb.jar org.hsqldb.util.DatabaseManager " because my jar in just in lib so why cant i just open with this "c:\hsqldb\lib\hsqldb.jar " ...
because in my orders I have /
1. install hsqldb 1.8 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/hsqldb/files/hsqldb/hsqldb_1_8_0/)
2. Unzip in C:\
3.Then run your manager with the commande : java -classpath c:\hsqldb\lib\hsqldb.jar org.hsqldb.util.DatabaseManager
I have done the 2 first steps but the 3 rd I dont know how to do it (in cmd ) because i dont understand this java -classpath c:\hsqldb\lib\hsqldb.jar org.hsqldb.util.DatabaseManager
You obviously have to type the command with the path as it is on your system, so if you have hsqldb.jar in the directory C:\hsqldb\lib, then you have to use C:\hsqldb\lib\hsqldb.jar and not something else.
What exactly do you not understand about the command? You just have to type that command in the command prompt, that's all. There's not really anything special to understand about it. It will run the class org.hsqldb.util.DatabaseManager which is in the hsqldb.jar file which is in directory C:\hsqldb\lib.
Did you try it? Did it work, or not? Did you get an error message; if yes, then what was the error message?
