In MZ's notes, there is a question like this :
"A developer is implementing a web service using code first (java-to-wsdl) approach. Which JAX-WS tools should be used to generate portable artifacts?

1. xjc
2. apt
3. wsgen
4. wsimport

Option 4 is not the answer according to the notes.
However, I still think wsimport is one of the answers because:
1. the developer can generate client side artifacts based on the wsdl generated by apt or the wsdl generated when the Endpoint.publish method is executed.
2. the question does not mention which side's (client/server) portable artifacts. If I am taking the exam, I will consider portable artifacts include server side artifacts and client side artifacts.

By the way, I just found out that apt tool is deprecated since JDK 7 according to this web site :http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/apt/GettingStarted.html

Hi Himai,

The answer is not correct because the problem statement clearly says java-to-wsdl approach. wsimport requires a WSDL which would be the wsdl-to-java approach.

I did not get any question about any of the tooling on the actual exam, but I think basic knowledge about wsimport and wsgen should be enough.

Frits
