How to bind a date in HQL

Hi All,

I am trying to figure out a way to bind the java util date in HQL query. My query is a insert query which has a SELECT Query. I am trying to insert the created time with java.util.Date. Since it on the select query , I am not to able to bind it.

String hqlQuery = insert into MyHibernatePogoForTable ( id , name , createdTime ) (select id , empName , sysdate from EmployeePojoForTable)

if you look at the code above , I currently use sysdate but I need to populate the value in the App and it shouldn't depend on the DB's timestamp.

Thoughts on this are much appreciated.
