66% Enthuware last day test

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
I'm scheduled for the OCA 7 in about 18 hours. I read Mala's book once through, and some of the chapter review sections twice.

I got 62% on first Enthuware test, then reviewed wrong answers and got 67% on second test. Got impatient, and went back to reading the book for a few days. I just finished the last day practice test, and got 66%. I'm going to review all answers, not just wrong, then take the exam tomorrow.

I don't mind getting a 'low' score, I'd be happy to simply pass. Hoping that a 66% on last day Enthuware translates to a pass on the real exam.

If anyone wants to say 'Ben, you idiot, you're being too impatient and you are underestimating this exam, hurry up and reschedule it,' now is the time

I am of no help, not having taken it yet. I am planning to take it in one week, though haven't taken the plunge and registered yet, just in case.
But CAN you reschedule? I would like to know.
Also, did you do the mock exam in Mala Gupta's book?

Yes, you can reschedule an exam without any problem as explained here.

I don't know why people settle for a "low" score. In my opinion it's more important to learn a lot while preparing for the exam than rushing to pass the exam (and get certified). Even with 3-4 years experience as a java developer I learnt a lot while preparing for the OCPJP exams, but I took my time to prepare. From that perspective I'm not happy at all with the significant drop in the passing score. It really devaluates the OCAJP7 certification!

Based on other user experiences the actual OCAJP7 exam score is higher than their mock exam scores. So I think you don't have to worry for this exam But I don't think the same would apply for the OCPJP7 as it's a lot harder (advanced topics, more trick questions,...)

Good luck!

Oracle says they change the passing score along with the difficulty of the exam, so maybe 63% now is the same at 77% before, if they made the questions that much harder. Who knows.

Me, I'm fine with anything 75% or higher, and since it's part of my competency-based degree program with WGU, I would rather get it over with. If I stopped to aim for perfection on everything, it would take much longer to finish, and due to financial pressures, that isn't an option.

From recent shared user experiences making questions harder didn't happen.

In my dictionary that's not a "low" score

Well, I passed with an 85%. The real exam was much easier than Enthuware.
