Hi,

I have the certification study guide for Java 6 from Sierra / Bates and would also like to take this specific exam (since I don't want to have the word 'Oracle' on my certification).

My boss just told me that there is no more SCJP, but only OCP.... is this true?

Can I not take the "old" SCJP 6 exam anymore?

And if yes: did only the name change? (can I prepare with the same book for the OCP6 exam?)

I can see that both ocp6 and scjp6 have the exam# 310-065... so I guess the content is the same... but I would still prefer the SCJP on my certificate

Thanks very much in advance!

Have a look at Oracle certification finder. It seems that what used to be 310-065 is now 1Z0-851.

Thanks for the answer!

I read that the scjp even covers more than ocp6... so I guess that Im on the safe side if I study for scjp6 and take the ocp6 exam...
