Any prerequisite for IZ0-807 ?

Hello All,

I am planning to write "Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 6 Enterprise Architect" - IZ0-807. Is there any prerequisite for taking this exam? Some forum says there is a mandatory training from Oracle required before taking the exam, is that correct?

Yes deo swaroop, you need to Complete one of the approved courses. Look at this Oracle page, it will direct you to the available training course page.

Actually you can complete training course after passing the exam.

There is no any prerequisite to take this exam (all 3 parts).

Your exam will be graded.

But in order to get certificate, you will need to take training from Oracle, only after that you will get certificate and will become "officially certified".

Got it. Thanks for the reply. This is insane, the training is very costly.

One more question: the minimum course price I see is US$ 2,250. Is there any way to get this discounted ?

The minimum I see is $1400 for the 2 day Java EE 7 New Features course.

This thread is couple of years old. If I am planning to do this exam, from this thread I can see that I could complete all 3 stages without any pre-requisites, but I won't be able to get the official certificate until I follow a course from Oracle training. Am I correct? Is this information up to date?

Yes this info is still correct. Oracle won't give you the cert unless you complete the training and all 3 parts. The training can be done anytime

Hi, I have a question related to 1Z0-807. Passing this exam alone wont get us certificate without completing the assignment and essay? Will there be any value add if I m planning to take up this exam alone?

The value is that you learn stuff. Oracle won't say you are certified though.
