My application is defined in a JNLP file and that file contains variables, replaced on the fly by a servlet.
Since we are now forced to include a copy of JNLP file into every JAR of our app (thank you, Oracle!), we must find a way to replace those variables with some kind of an asterisk, because at the moment of build/sign we do not know those values yet.

I found something called "APPLICATION_TEMPLATE.JNLP", however it only partially works for me.
For instance I am able to replace "codebase=${codebase}" with codebase="*", but I can NOT add a list of additional jars into my JNLP as per ${add.additional.jars} parameter, for example. Neither can I add something like this :

Is there a work around for this?
Thank you!
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
