Hi Guys,

I fire following to get LDAP server details -

>nslookup
> set type=all
> _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.domain.name

However I get a list of servers(almost 15-20) which one to use and is there any criteria?

Thanks.

Use for what ?
Without a lot more detail your question doesn't make much sense.

The answer is probably any of them, but as Joanne said, it is unclear exactly what you are asking.

For example, if I do a DNS query as you do, but for www.google.ca, I get 4 addresses back, and can connect using either one of them.

nslookup
Default Server: internal.mcleodnet.home
Address: 192.168.100.254

Server: internal.mcleodnet.home
Address: 192.168.100.254

Non-authoritative answer:
www.google.ca AAAA IPv6 address = 2607:f8b0:400a:800::1017
www.google.ca internet address = 173.194.33.31
www.google.ca internet address = 173.194.33.23
www.google.ca internet address = 173.194.33.24

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
