Can you post those lines where you try to load your Jasper XML file?

Your problem is with your JRXML file EmpDeptReport.xml, right? What do you mean with outside of my project? Do you have bundled all your stuff in one JAR file and run this one as standalone?

Can you explain your file structure in both approaches?

Regards,
Darya

i think you have put just .xml instead of .jrxml

Whether it's .xml or .jrxml doesn't matter.

I don't see why it runs in standalone mode and not in a client server mode .

Can you describe in less words your mode of operation? Where do implement your Jasper logic, client or server?

I believe the problem is due to digester.jar which is used by Weblogic server itself. I am getting the following Exception. So the problem is that xmlparser calls the digester loaded by the Weblogic system classloader while the jasperreport.jar is in the applicate.ear classpath which the weblogic digester class cannot see.

I do not have a good solution yet. Any suggestion is appreciated.
