In order to use Facelets with Trinidad i edit the web.xml file.

web.xml :

faces-config.xml :

My .xhtml file :

Below is the case when i didnot edit my web.xml : it is showing the output as :
The problem is only the text with <h:outputText value="Welcome to Symphony" styleClass="red" ></h:outputText> is rendered
but not with trinidad tags : <tr:outputText value="Welcome to Symphony" styleClass="red" > </tr:outputText>

Error 404 comes when i edit web.xml which is presently as shown above.
Is there is any thing extra i need to configure?

Welcome to the JavaRanch, Farhan!

Our forum message editor has a "Code" button that can be used to add special tags that make java code, xml, and other formatted text easier to read. I've used it to edit your posting.

A "404" error means Page Not Found. Or more precisely, it means that an incoming URL could not be mapped to any servlet or JSP within the target web application.

So to diagnose a "404" error, we'd need to know what URL you are using and what the pathname of the View Template (xhtml) file(s) that you are expecting to use to build your displayed web page.
