Potentially. It really depends on your level of Java knowledge and how you study. For now, assume they are. Then when you are near the end, see how you are doing on the Enthuware mocks. If you are passing, it is enough. If not, you'll need other resources to reinforce certain topics.

I totally agree with Jeanne. These 2 recources you have mentioned are probably the best ones on the market at this moment (based on the many experiences posted by fellow ranchers). So it's now all up to you Good luck!

Thanks Jeanne and Roel...I m thinking of starting my preparation from the base of java and that is why I have decided that I will start with Head First Java by Kathy and Bert nd then I will move to Mala Gupta...also I will be studying Java the Complete Reference by Herbert Schildt to understaand the depth of important topics of ocajp...like Inheritance, Exception handling, packages etc...I hope this would work

A very good choice! Books by Kathy & Bert are always very good quality.

Good luck! If you have any questions/doubts, just post them here (or in the Beginning Java forum) and the CodeRanch community will try its very best to answer/clear your questions/doubts.
