Hello, anyone with experiences in cloud programming? I'm new to the topic and I don't know where to start. I'd appreciate any link to relevant article understandable for beginner, especially about writing config tool for dynamic rebalancing.
Many thanks!!

Welcome to JavaRanch.

Unfortunately, the word "cloud" has lost most of its meaning, as it is being attached to anything and everything these days, particularly by vendors that hope to cash in on this trend.

There are various models of cloud hosting, like SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS, which have different programming models - programming for, and deploying on, say, Amazon Web Services is quite different from using Google App Engine. Which of the models comes closest to what you intend to do?

thanks for reply!

I want to develop simple cloud application running on IaaS hosting, probably AWS. I know they have lots of documents about cloud principles, but I am searching for something little more brief and less theoretical.
