For my jsp file, the code editor shows no error, but the projects window shows an error. I built my project again, cleaned the project, restart eclipse twice and summoned cthulhu.
But my project still shows an error. How do I find the cause and fix the problem ?

Eclipse project -

JSP file -

TLD file -

IDEs are usually awful at dealing with JSPs.

What's more important is: does it work?

Bear you are correct. I am spending more time in learning eclipse and its idiosyncrasies rather than learning j2ee.
Here is the stack overflow thread for this problem. It shows how the book misses steps and how eclipse can be
a nightmare -

I, and other experiences members, almost always recommend to use the IDE as a intelligent editor (I, for example, really like IntelliJ's refactoring features), but to run web apps in standalone instances of Tomcat (or whatever you want to use).

Does the Markers tab provide any clues?
