What makes the Daemon threads continue to run? Isn't JVM responsible for running anything and everything in Java.If it exits, then how will the running daemon threads continue to run. This question was posted after I read the API docs for java.lang.Threads->setDaemon() method?

When the JVM exists, then everything related to it are gone. This includes the daemon threads.

Okay, I am going to lock this topic -- as your two topics are basically now at the same question.
