According to this stack trace, you have a class, hbtest.Student, which you have annotated with @Entity (or which you have configured in xml). The problem is that it lacks an Id field with an @Id annotation (or the corresponding assignment in xml).

You used to have that spelled correctly:

Dialect is correct,and iam taken seperate project and trying in same maner but it giving this exception, first iam tried to store student data and now employee data in different tables..

And one more doubt, in cfg file iam used first
<property name="hibernate.connection.url">
jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/h1
</property>
it is worked fine, and then am changed database name as
<property name="hibernate.connection.url">
jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/h2
</property> and saved and trying to run. In console it giving jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/h1 only, it will not creating new table in h2, and even any modifications is not performing well like changing column value.
