Hi Ravi,
I think that there are several usecases for JavaFX. First of all you shouldn't compare JavaFX with an HTML stack. For a lot of business application web technology matches perfect and I wouldn't use JavaFX here today. This depends on some issues that aren't perfectly solved for JavaFX until now. The deployment and update process is an example. But on the other hand there are a lot of examples where JavaFX matches perfect: Often you have specific graphical issues that are very hard to solve in an web application. With HTML5 Canvas you can do a lot but there still some points that can be handled better with a desktop application. Another big topic is IoT and embedded development. I think that a lot of cool gadgeds will be produced in the next years like tools for home automation or intelligent watches. Java (and JavaFX) works perfect on embedded devices and a lot of these gadgets need an UI. I think nobody wants to use HTML here or deploy a webserver on this devices.
