Can you show that dependency XML in your POM?

This happens for every class inside external libraries, but not for javase libraries.

Do you have the Jar for that dependency in your PATH? When you set the scope to "provided" you are telling Maven that the dependency will be manually provided so Maven does not go and get that dependency for you automatically.

As in attached image you can check the jar file available in external libraries. It doesn't gives any issue in case of suggestions in code for that class. Also at i can view the jar file.

Try making the scope "test" instead of "provided." That will make the jar available when running unit tests, but will continue not to package it as part of your application.

My mistake, I was selecting junit 3, instead of junit 4 at create test wizard.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
