Hello Joel,

Welcome and thank you for bearing with us with our questions.

Can you please explain how frameworks like Kendo UI, angular, jQuery ui, etc. etc.
relate to java servlets and jsp.

Do you touch this subject in your book or do you have any particular preference?

Thank you, kind regards,

Hi Yvette,

I'm not familiar with Kendo UI and AngularJS, but I think they work similarly to jQuery, which provides a way to use JavaScript do more processing on the client side. In most cases, you can add this type of code to the JSP that controls the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that's returned to the client by the server.

We don't touch on this subject in the book. Instead, we focus on the server-side processing. However, if you want to add client-side processing to your servlet/JSP applications, and you understand one of these frameworks, I think it's probably pretty easy to add it into your JSP.

I don't have a particular preference for one of these frameworks, though I do like jQuery.

Thanks!

Joel

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
