Chapter 10 of the book describes how to use custom JSP tags. When I look at the figures in that chapter that show how to set up the TLD files, I find that the elements are not consistent. In some figures the elements <tagclass>, <teiclass> and <bodycontent> are shown without a "-" between the words, but in others like Figure 10-4 and 10-5 they are shown as <tag-class>, <tei-class> and <body-content>. Which way is correct?

It depends upon the version of JSP being used.

The second edition seems to have the same inconsistency. Which JSP version needs the dashes and which version doesn't? He doesn't say.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for pointing out this issue. I wasn't aware of it and am looking into it now.

So far, it looks to me like all of the tags in this book should consistently use <tag-class>, <tei-class> and <body-content>. That seems to be the correct way to code the tag descriptor for these tags. If I find anything different, I'll let you know.

Thanks!

Joel

P.S. - And, of course, if I am right about that, we'll correct this issue in the next printing of this book.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
