hello guys,
I have messed up my career badly.I have just got a computer science degree this year with very poor marks because of which i am not able to get a job even in software testing or any technical job. I am preparing for Ocajp se 7 from last three months will it help to landup somewhere with a job. I like java programming and looking forward for a career in it. Please reply. I badly need some guidance..!

So you got a CS degree (but poor grades). But did you learn the essence of key CS topics like algorithms & data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, etc.

From the look of things, your purpose of getting OCAJP7 is ... getting a job. But before attempting to study for OCA, I suggest reviewing your programming skills from college.

The OCAJP is a basic certification. I think you should take the OCPJP 7 after it. Also, I think you'll need to do some projects on your own to prove you can.

Employers will see your marks and still be concerned about two things:
1) Does the candidate understand?
2) Can the candidate follow through on a task?

A cert alone won't counter this although it is better than nothing.
