One of the objectives on the exam is about using break and continue. So you definitely need to know how those work. Adding labels to the mix doesn't make it terribly complex so I recommend learning it anyway.

More like I'm not sure if they are on the exam, but the ease of learning them means you shouldn't risk it.

I have no clue (didn't take the exam yet), but in the Mala Gupta study guide labeled break and continue statements are covered. So they could be on the exam (and they are really not that hard), so I would not take the risk.

Yes. I got a question on labelled break/continue in the real exam. And to my goodness, thanks to guides and mock exams , I did answer it correctly.

Thanks for sharing your experience. That will definitely help others clear their doubts.

How did you know you asnwered it correctly? There is no detailed feedback for each question.

I meant to point that it was due to compilation error. The whole code that was given in the exam was failing to compile. Of course, to provide us with a trap, suitable answers were given in the first and then the compilation error and then something else which I did not remember .
