I have good knowledge of servlet, jsp. I've also worked on mvc pattern and now looking to learn a web framework but i'm not sure which to choose between spring mvc OR struts.Should i first do struts and then go for spring or can i choose spring directly?

In my opinion Struts is a total dinosaur. I think you'd get a lot more mileage out of SpringMVC unless you have a specific reasons to choose Struts (e.g. concrete job prospect).

There are many more frameworks than the two you mention; what are your requirements for choosing one?

Though Spring and Struts are widely used, everything depends on your requirements.
