Hi All
I have an issue where a customer sends xml documents that we have a loader load in. Well they started sending strings in a notes field containing hexidecimal charachters(X93 and X94 etc). Well this gives size constraints in this particular field that its trying to load because it apparently sends the field over the limitations. I am guessing that's the issue because db error tells me its so and I take out another part of the text but leave the hexadecimal in and it loads. Anyway, The xml doc is encoded to utf8. I suspect they may be copying these texts from a word doc with different encoding.
Is there a way when in read in the input stream to convert these funky charachters to "true" utf8 or how should I handle this?
