itext and non english letters problem  RSS feed

Dear all,
i get from the request letters encoded windows-1256 (arabic letters) and when i want to show it in pdf file using apache itext it failed.. any hint please
i try to put something like this but also failed:
response.setContentType("application/pdf;charset=UTF-8");



any help please dont hisitate i need any suggestions

Setting the response content type makes no difference if the PDF itself is somehow screwed up. Is that the case? What does "it failed" mean?

iText uses Java strings to construct PDFs, so as long as you convert correctly from Windows-1256 to Java strings (how are you doing that?), it should work out OK.

Thanks a lot i solve this problem .but i have another one i need code to make the Pargraph object write from Right to Left i dont found :

setRunDirection(PdfWriter.RUN_DIRECTION_RTL) method.. would you help me how to make arabic letters appears from right to left in paragraph.
