That is, if there is a question that has 3 hits in 4 options, the question is given as valid? What is the scale applied?

Thanks.

Hi Johann,

Welcome to the CodeRanch!

I don't know if I understand your question correctly, but a question has just 2 possible scores: 1 (only if you have selected all correct options) or 0 (in all other cases).

Hope it helps!
Kind regards,
Roel

Johann,
Welcome to CodeRanch!

Roel is correct. I understand your question as "I got some of the answers correct, but not others." The good thing is that the exam tells you how many are correct. For example, if it might say "Choose two of the below" for a question with 5 choices.
You could answer any of:
AB
AC
AD
AE
BC
BD
BE
CD
CE

It's like they listed 9 choices and one is correct. It just saves space on the page to not list them out.

Also, the exam won't stop you from answering ABC, but that's obviously wrong since it is 3 choices rather than 2. So don't .

According to this post of Mala Gupta you'll get a warning if you try to select more options than required.
