A data logger (also datalogger or data recorder) is an electronic device that records data over time or in relation to location either with a built in instrument or sensor or via external instruments and sensors. Increasingly, but not entirely, they are based on a digital processor (or computer). This device is supposed to provide some web services to get the data. My application is a simple j2se application. So how I will be able to communicate with the device?

Rasmita,
Welcome to CodeRanch!

It is possible for a (non Java EE) program to call a web service. I use Spring's templates to make this easier. Do you know what type of web service is used? REST?
