Hi,

I have a JSP as follows...
I wanted to move some content into a child JSP, but there seems to be a wierd problem...

Actual JSP:

I made it as follows:

showPrivileges.jsp

Actual JSP is now reduced to:

The problem is when i move the contents to showPrivileges.jsp, the privUrl and privilegeName start coming as null...

and when i move the content back to actual JSP, they start coming....

I am not able to understand why?

<jsp:param works on the server side as request.getParameter, that is capable only for carrying a String.

In my case it was an object, so I had to set it as an Attribute in request

using

><c:set var="x" value="${priv}/>
<jsp:include page="abc.jsp"/>
