Is the book Head First EJB helpful for EJB 3.1 exam?
I heard it is recommended for SCBCD.

I wouldn't read it even for the EE5 version of the EJB exam (and definitely not for the EE6 version)

EJB 2.x and EJB 3.x are just too far apart.

i am interested to know and learn EJB ,after working with jsp, servlets.
which book is better head first ejb or ejb3 in action.
is it a good idea to start with EJB3.x without knowing anything about EJB2.x.

Thank You

You should look for EJB 3.1 book probably. Skip EJB 2.X - it's all different and outdated.

As was mentioned above, the HF EJB is outdated, please do NOT read it (based on EJB 2.1 IIRC).

Very good book (IMHO) about EJB 3.1 is from O'Reilly - http://shop.oreilly.com/product/9780596158033.do
