-Use call methods on user-created wrapper class objects

This is one of the objectives. I'm assuming they mean "use and call methods on user-created wrapper class objects". Since there is no such thing as call methods. Any other possible interpretations.

More important question: what's a user-created wrapper class object?

I'm thinking it is something like:

Which isn't terribly useful, so it is possible they meant Java wrapper classes like Integer/Double.

That was my first thought too, but couldnt think of any added value of such a wrapper class. And what's the difference with such a class and a "non-wrapper" class having instance members, like:

So I'm also inclined to think it's about the primitive wrapper classes we all know & love And I think it definitely deserves a spot on the entry-level OCAJP8: quite simple, not too many quirks and if you already ahve to discuss primitives, it's a small step to explain their wrapper classes.

Yes. And it pretty much has to be covered anyway because of ArrayList/generics.

True! But then auto-boxing/unboxing should also be added to the OCAJP8 objectives... Otherwise you can't take the short-cut

I created a service request. Oracle agreed it was wrong and said they will fix it.

They finally fixed it. The corrected text is:
Develop code that uses wrapper classes such as Boolean, Double, and Integer.
