I read the book by Mala Gupta and did only 3 of the enthuware mock tests in less than two weeks.
my scores in the mock tests were about 75%.

My final score is below 90%, which is only a 'ok' score. Maybe I should spend more time on it. I think OCPJP7 will definitely take more time to pass.

BTW, how to read the book OCPJP 7 Certification Guide from S.G Ganesh and Tushar Sharma, and SCJP 6 book from Kate Sierra & Bert Bates,
I think most of their contents are overlapped, and which book I should focus on? But I think only the first book covers JDBC, nio topics, localization, concurrency.

What about SCJP6 Practice exams by K&B ? because it doesn't contain jdbc, nio ..., I guess we should take enthuware mock exams?

thanks!

Zach,
You definitely need a OCPJP 7 (not 6) book. The Kathy & Bert book comes out next month. Mala's book comes out later in the year.

The Ganesh and Sharma book didn't get such great reviews. If you can wait for the Kathy & Bert book, I'd recommend it. Or if you can borrow a copy of the SCJP 6 book by Kathy and Bert, start there. Then buy their new book next month.

I have the K&B book pdf version and I guess I can't wait for the new book. The Ganesh and Sharma book didn't get such great reviews, because it includes too many errors?
