iText can not convert HTML to PDF, not do I think that there is an easy, general way to do so. Have you considered using a page creation technique that can generate multiple output formats, like Apache FOP, Apache Cocoon, or JasperReports?

Just read the home pages and/or documentation of the libraries I mentioned. Then you should get a good feeling for what each can do, and whether they might be appropriate in your circumstances.

Hello sridhar,

You can lookup JasperReports.

http://jasperforge.org/jaspersoft/opensource/business_intelligence/ireport/

It has API's which can help you generate PDF files.

bytes = JasperRunManager.runReportToPdf(reportFile.getPath(),
new HashMap(), new JREmptyDataSource());

.runReportToPdf - this can help you.

The Flying Saucer Project (which uses iText) can convert XHTML and CSS to PDF.

If you settle for what they are giving you, you deserve what you get. Fight for this tiny ad!
