Hi so...Im currently reading Java Programming Learn Advance Skills from a Java Expert by Poornachandra Sarang. I was wandering what book should I read next. I was thinking on something very advance or a GUI specific book (awt, swing ,JavaFx). So what are the best books out there. Thanks.

Well it depends on what areas of Java you want to explore further.

If it's GUI (Swing) then I recommend the book "Swing 2e" by Matthew Robinson & Pavel Vorobiev. It's rather an old book uses Java 1.4 coding but learning how to use or what to use what component is excellent. I myself got the book but haven't read it cover to cover but refer it as a guide once in a while when I'm doing Swing programming.

Not sure which books are good for JavaFX.

Besides core Java you may want to learn or explore enterprise Java (servlets, JSP, JSF, EJB, web services etc). If so start with Head First Servlet & JSP 2e by Kathy Sierra & Bert Bates. Or the Java EE tutorial.
