Hi,
Does the does the book cover the differences in designing an app for Android as opposed to a web app ?
In some respects, it seems like phone apps are more like console applications that use Swing and components like event listeners than traditional web apps.

thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

My book doesn't deal with web apps. It introduces the Java language and key APIs that are useful for Android development. Appendix C, which is freely distributed separately as a PDF (in the book's code file -- see http://www.apress.com/9781430264545) provides an introduction to Android in terms of tools, architecture, and some apps.

All the best.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff.
