Hi Jeff,

I want to know whether Java has new api for Android development and which version of Java has this new API?

Careful: Java is not Android, and Android is not Java. Android's programming language just happens to be based on Java. To be precise, it's based on Java 5, with some additions from the Java 6 API, minus lots of classes like AWT, Swing, RMI etc., plus a lot of Android-specific classes. So it's a superset of a subset of Java 6 :-)
