It includes three courses and a final project and the whole time may take nearly a year.

Any comments?

Yes, I just finished all three courses (started with the first one at the end of March, and the third one has just finished), and I'm going to do the capstone project in October.

The first course was really about Android programming: how Android works, how to create the GUI for the application etc.

The second course was mainly about multi-threading, concurrency and networking on Android.

The third course was about server side programming, creating RESTful web services with Spring, including security. It wasn't very much about Android at all.

I found the first course the most work, we had to build Android programs that were automatically tested using Robotium, on the Android emulator. The third course was the easiest for me, since I'm a professional server side Java developer and I already knew almost everything that was tought in the course.

I didn't find it very hard, but I can imagine that if you are really new at programming or new at Java and don't know much about multi-threading, concurrency, HTTP, webservices and security, you'll have to learn a lot and it will take you time.

thanks for your detailed reply, Jesper de Jong

I think I need and can learn a lot of stuff by this series although it may take time. At least, android is still a fun stuff and the market is still good.
