How do I get started?
Someone will send a message to me about where he wants to know.
Like Mary's Place..
Then I will send the map to him thru Google API to his phone.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jack

How does "someone" send this - from within a mobile app? Via what channel?

And what is "the map" - an image? A link? Something else?

The thing most likely to happen is my friend would call me (voice) with a particular
place she interests in, then I send out a map (image to her phone), and a link will suit me fine too...

For example
Amy rings in and asks for Mary's Address.
I searched in google map (probably stored in a db also), and send it to
Amy's cell phone, and she can immediately see
where Mary's place is.
Hope you get what I mean
Thanks
Jack

Unless she runs an app of yours and you have set up something like GCM, the options are limited. You could use email to send the a Google Maps link, or send an SMS (maybe with a shortened link) if you have signed up with an SMS provider. There is no way to send something directly to a mobile phone.

Hello,
Ulf, I wonder what GCM is....
To be honest, the phone user can't type really that well.
That's why I am asking
Thanks

I wonder what GCM is

Google Cloud Messaging; lots of info available on that, particularly on the Android Developer site.

the phone user can't type really that well.

I don't understand what that has to do with anything.
