I am using Jasper Reports.I dont want a report based on any database.I just want to display a list of strings got from my java file in the form of a report.But i dont know how to iterate through the list in the jrxml file.Is it possible to iterate like that or am I wrong???If wrong how to display a list of strings using the template jrxml file??Im trying to send the list object as a parameter. Help!!!

You shouldn't pass in the list as a separate parameter, but use a different datasource implementation: http://www.jasperforge.org/jaspersoft/opensource/business_intelligence/jasperreports/tutorial.html#Data_Source
