Hi,

I am using the code

file = new File(fileName);
workbook = Workbook.getWorkbook(file);
Sheet sheet = workbook.getSheet(0);

The code is working fine for .xls (Excel 2003) and not working for .xlsx ( Excel2007). Is that anythin extra need for .xlsx files.Please help me.

Thanks,
Mamata

Currently, Apache POI supports the Office binary formats, not the Office Open XML formats. See the paragraph "Office Open XML Support" here for further information.

Please do not post the same question to multiple forums: CarefullyChooseOneForum. Having multiple redundant conversations wastes people's time.

Let's continue the discussion in this duplicate thread.
