Hi,

In our existing code we are sending data to main frame via CICS call. However the CommArea limit at main frame is 3000KB. So from java I need to send data in Chunks.
So there will be multiple calls to CICS for single request.

Eg. Lets assume there are 150 records. User selects all 150 and clicks submit. If I send all 150 to main frame it doesnt work. So I need to divide the transaction 50 records each considering 3000KB limit and call 3 times to CICS.

I am not sure if there is a better way of doing this.

Not sure if you have a question here. Can you elaborate what you want to ask?

IMO, communicating via CICS is just sort of like emulating a user on a terminal. So, if a user can do it from a terminal, then the Java program should be able to do it. As for the better way of doing it, can you ask a CICS user on how they would do it?
