I found that inputting methods are not usable in text components in JDialog. I mean, the inputting methods used to type non-English characters such as Southern Asian characters.
The following example works without any problems.

It is able for us to type in the JTextArea by inputting methods. However, when I use a JDialog, I cannot input any text in the JTextArea.
This does not work:

I can't actually "select" an inputting method if I use a JDialog.
I came up with two solutions:
(1) removing icon of JFrame from taskbar (and that's why I used JDialog), or
(2) making the inputting methods usable in JTextArea. (In fact I think it should be a Java's issue instead of an operating system's issue?)
I am using WinXP SP3. Is there any workarounds? Please help.
