Hi,

I am planning to take OCMJEA certification and just today i have completed mandatory course and i am moving to next step, which is writing Exam (Step # 3)....need some of your suggestions or inputs on the material / topics to read or cover to excel in multiple choice exam. I have OCM Java EE 6 Enterprise Architect Exam Guide by Paul Allen (Author), Joseph Bambara (Author) book and in addition to this what are the other materials i should go through ?. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks.

H C,
Welcome to CodeRanch!

The Allen/Bambara is very good. I recommend reading it first and seeing if there are areas you still feel weak on (if any). Then post what those areas so we can recommend more reading in that space. I think the book contains everything you need to know presuming you have a good background. And if not, you'll know because a section/chapter will be confusing.

Hi,

Can you please let me know where you taken the training and also process for that. Is this compulsory to take training before going to write exam?

No the training can be taken before, during (eg between step 1 and step 2/3) or after. Oracle just won't acknowledge/give you the cert once you complete the training.
