As a senior java developer, coding java daily which one of the books should I look into if I was only to pick one ?

it seems like Beginning Java 8 APIs, Extensions and Libraries would benefit me the most.

Hello,
If you have been using Java 8 at work, I would suggest the second book "Beginning Java 8 Language Features (ISBN 978-1430266587)". It contains chapters on Java 8 such as Lambda Expressions and the Streams API. If you want to get started with JavaFX 8 and Nashorn, the third book "Beginning Java 8 APIs, Extensions, and Libraries (ISBN 978-1430266617)" is suitable for you. Here are the chapter-wise breakups of Java 8 new features discussed in three books:

Beginning Java 8 Fundamentals:
Chapter 12: Dates and Times (76 pages)
Chapter 17: Interfaces (62 pages)
Appendix C: Compact Profiles (16 pages)

Beginning Java 8 Language Features (ISBN 978-1430266587):
Chapter 5: Lambda Expressions (50 pages)
Chapter 13: Streams (62 pages)

Beginning Java 8 APIs, Extensions, and Libraries (ISBN 978-1430266617):
Chapter 8: JavaFX (106 pages)
Chapter 10: Nashorn Script Engine (82 pages)
