A mock exam states JPA was not a Java EE integration tier technology because
it provides an object/relational mapping facility to Java developer
for managing relational data in Java.

WTF?!

Do you agree / disagree?

Thanks,

Marcus

What is this Java EE integration tier? Did you mean Enterprise Application Integration?

I don't know what that mock exam is and in which context that statement was made (the statement itself isn't too clear), but I guess what it might be trying to say is that JPA can be used outside of Java EE too in standalone Java applications.

I assume the context is "Why JPA is not correct answer for a integration tier technology" . JCA can be a correct answer.
